SheetXAI is an AI agent that runs inside Google Sheets as an add-on and Chrome extension, with an Excel version available as an add-on. You type what you want in plain English, such as removing duplicates, splitting columns, fixing formats, matching data between sheets, or building a report, and it carries out the steps instead of handing you a formula. It was founded in February 2025 by David De Souza and is bootstrapped.
Beyond chat edits, it pulls data out of PDFs, photos, invoices, and receipts into rows and columns, and runs cell-by-cell AI commands (SAI) for bulk writing, research, categorization, scraping, and image, audio, and video generation. Integrations connect the sheet to tools such as WordPress, WooCommerce, Instantly, Lemlist, Apify, and DataForSEO (500+ direct, 1,000+ via MCP). Newer additions include saved workflows you can schedule and interactive mini-apps built on Google Apps Script (Google Sheets only). The AI runs on your own API key (OpenRouter, OpenAI, and others) or on one-time credit packs, so model costs are separate from the license.
The AppSumo deal is a one-time purchase with 4 tiers. Tier 1 ($49) gives 1 license with the chat agent, 10 daily automations, and 10 mini-apps per month, but no bulk SAI features. Tier 2 ($149) gives 3 licenses, unlimited automations and mini-apps, and all bulk content, media, scraping, image analysis, and document-to-sheet features. Tier 3 ($199) raises that to 5 licenses and Tier 4 ($299) to 25. One license is one user email. The base deal covers Google Sheets; Excel access is a separate one-time $29 add-on that covers all seats and is not refundable.
