How we review lifetime deals

LTD Explorer is an independent directory that tracks SaaS lifetime deals, compares plan tiers, and summarises real buyer feedback so you can decide before purchasing. Here is exactly how we collect facts, evaluate deals, and fund our work.

1. What we are

LTD Explorer is an independent directory of software lifetime deals. We do not sell software, process customer payments, or deliver licence keys. When you click "Get deal" or claim buttons on our pages, you are directed to the third-party marketplace or vendor website where the deal is hosted.

2. Where the facts come from

All deal facts—including pricing, plan tiers, refund windows, activation deadlines, and end dates—are copied directly from the marketplace's own deal page (such as AppSumo, RocketHub, Dealify, StackSocial, and direct vendor sites).

We do not invent numbers or promotional discounts. Feature descriptions and performance claims are the vendor's own claims unless we explicitly state otherwise.

3. How we write pros and cons

Our pros and cons summarise recurring themes that appear across real buyer reviews on verified marketplaces and community discussions. Pros come primarily from 4-star and 5-star reviews, while cons reflect common complaints and friction points reported in 1-star to 3-star reviews.

When a deal is new and has few or no public reviews, we examine buyer questions, community comments, and limitations acknowledged by the founder. In those cases the pros and cons rest on less evidence, so treat them as early impressions.

4. The verdict

Every deal listing receives one of three editorial labels:

  • Worth it: The tool offers solid value relative to its regular pricing, has functional core features, and fits its target audience well.
  • Wait: The core concept is promising, but missing features, roadmap uncertainty, or early bugs suggest waiting for updates.
  • Skip: Significant drawbacks, restrictive tier limits, or high execution risk make the deal poor value for most buyers.

Along with the verdict, we specify who the tool is best for and which pricing tier we recommend starting with.

5. What we don't do (yet)

We have not personally used every tool listed on our site. When we have used a tool ourselves, the deal page says so. We do not test checkout on every deal.

6. Keeping deals current

Each deal page displays a visible "Last checked" date showing when the pricing and terms were last verified against the official source. When a deal reaches its deadline or sells out, we mark it as ended. Refund windows and guarantee terms are checked against the marketplace's published policy.

7. How we make money

Some links on LTD Explorer are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a referral commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

Commissions do not influence our editorial verdicts: a deal with critical drawbacks remains marked "Skip" regardless of commission rates. For complete details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

8. Corrections and updates

Spot something wrong or out of date? Email hello@ltdexplorer.com with the deal URL and details, and we will review and update the listing.
