BetterClaw is a hosted platform for running AI agents without servers, Docker, or config files. Each agent runs in its own isolated cloud container, and you set it up by picking a template or describing the job in plain English. Typical jobs include inbox triage, a morning briefing, failed payment recovery, and lead qualification. Many reviewers came to it from self-hosted OpenClaw or Hermes setups.
You bring your own AI key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, Groq, and other providers, and BetterClaw adds no markup on model usage. Agents connect to tools like Gmail, Slack, HubSpot, Stripe, Jira, Linear, and Zendesk through one-click OAuth, with per-agent permissions. Agents start under Intern, Specialist, or Lead trust levels, and approval queues plus a kill switch control what goes out. Built-in workflows run on a schedule or trigger, and an OpenAI-compatible Agent API is live. Custom MCP servers and local models through BetterClaw Desktop are available from Tier 3. Webhooks and multi-agent collaboration are still in progress.
The AppSumo deal is a one-time purchase with 5 tiers, all mapped to the Pro plan. Credits pay for agent runtime, not AI tokens, at roughly 1 credit per minute. Tier 1 ($79) gives 2 agents, 2,000 credits per month, 3 connectors, and 30-day memory. Tier 2 ($149) gives 4 agents, 6,000 credits, 8 connectors, and 90-day memory. Tier 3 ($269) gives 8 agents, 12,000 credits, unlimited connectors, 2 seats, 1-year memory, and adds multi-account, role-based access, ad integrations, Slack webhook, MCP, and local model support. Tier 4 ($399) raises that to 15 agents, 20,000 credits, and 3 seats. Tier 5 ($549) gives 30 agents, 30,000 credits, 5 seats, unlimited memory, and a custom DPA.
