Elasticnote is a privacy-first, local-first note-taking web app. You can keep notes as files in a folder on your own computer (in desktop Chrome, Edge, or Opera), in your own Dropbox, Google Drive, or GitHub, or in Elasticnote's encrypted cloud, which uses SSL in transit and AES-256 at rest in an Australian data center (an EU data center is planned). Local use works without creating an account. It runs in the browser, installs as a PWA on desktop or mobile, and has free native Windows and Linux apps plus browser extensions for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.
The editor is a Notion-style block editor with full Markdown, LaTeX, and code support and version history. Around it sit a calendar with tasks and daily notes, Kanban taskboards, Elastic Diagram for workflow diagrams, and research tools with citations. AI can run locally, through Ollama, or with your own API key, and a permission-controlled MCP server exposes documents, Kanban tasks, and the calendar to AI clients. Google and Microsoft Calendar integrations are listed on the vendor site.
The DealMirror deal is a single tier, Tier 1 at $29 one-time (listed against $149), with unlimited notebooks and files, Markdown, LaTeX, and code, calendar, tasks, and diagrams, local folder and bring-your-own storage, the Pro tools (AI Reviews, Research, Terminal), premium PDF export, collaboration, and priority support. Access is lifetime, codes must be redeemed within 60 days, and DealMirror gives a 30-day refund (60 days for Prime members). Elasticnote also sells Pro Lifetime directly for $29 and Pro Monthly for $5, and has a free plan.
