WP Reset is a WordPress plugin from WebFactory Ltd for resetting a site to default values, wiping or cleaning selected parts of it, and rolling back changes with database snapshots. It has been sold on AppSumo since April 2020 and is aimed at developers, freelancers, and web design agencies.
Snapshots can be taken by hand or automatically before actions such as plugin updates, and stored in WP Reset Cloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, or pCloud. Collections let you save a set of plugins and themes and install them on a new site in one click. The Emergency Recovery Script, with over 12 tools, helps restore a site when you cannot reach wp-admin. A central dashboard manages sites, licenses, snapshots, collections, and white-label brands, and this relaunch adds cleanup tools for old revisions, drafts, trash, orphaned database objects and media, inactive users, and table optimization. It supports WP-CLI and has a MainWP extension. The vendor says it does not replace a regular backup plugin.
The AppSumo deal is a one-time purchase of the Pro Plan with 4 tiers, and every tier gets 3 GB of storage per cloud site license plus white labeling. Tier 1 ($49) covers 5 site licenses and 5 WP Reset Cloud site licenses. Tier 2 ($129) covers 50 sites and 15 cloud sites, and adds remote actions and remote stats. Tier 3 ($299) covers unlimited sites and 30 cloud sites, and adds full rebranding and a snapshot staging environment. Tier 4 ($499) is the same as Tier 3 with 60 cloud sites.
